We are thrilled to announce the start of QUCAN’s Winter 2024-25 cohort! After receiving an overwhelming number of applications from across the globe, we are proud to welcome over 100 talented students from 27 countries and 6 continents into this program.
During this three-month program, students will learn about foundational concepts such as:
• The history of computing and the structure/physics behind computation
• Foundations of quantum computing
• Mathematics for quantum computing (Trigonometry, complex numbers, probability, vectors, matrices)
• Python basics
• Quantum mechanics
• Quantum states, gates, circuits, and algorithms
• IBM Quantum Experience and Qiskit basics
• Quantum error correction and quantum computers
Our students will benefit from:
• Weekly live lectures
• Weekly Live labs with talented TAs for hands-on learning experiences
• Pre-recorded video lessons for self-paced learning
• Practice quizzes to reinforce key concepts with explanations
• Assignments to evaluate understanding and progress
• An AI assistant integrated with course materials for on-demand help
• Guest talks from industry professionals offering valuable insights
Students will also have the opportunity to directly communicate with instructors, TAs, and peers. Whether it’s to ask questions, discuss recent quantum developments, or network, this program fosters a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. Successful students will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Through QUCAN’s cohort-based programs, we aim to build a global network where students can:
